PIF Workabee

Published on 20/11/2012  Group GSA

Two of our Group GSA members, Chiara Balsamo and Yvonne Pinniger, attended the Property Industry Foundation’s (PIF) first overnight Workabee at William Campbell College in Nowra on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th October.   Together with another 20 or so volunteers, they helped construct and create an Australiana Flowerbed, 6 veggie patches for the kids to plant in and erected a sun shade structure for this special assistance school.

Chiara and Yvonne had an amazing, exhausting and incredibly rewarding time: digging, trenching, building, drilling and laughing with another 20 like-minded volunteers.  Together with meeting other great people in the industry, helping this college was an incredibly valuable experience.

What a wonderful way for our industry to help the community – using our skills to improve the environment! … and assisting William Campbell Foundation to care for abused, neglected and homeless children, especially large sibling groups. See http://www.williamcampbellcollege.org/ for more information.

Well done to all who participated and thank you to PIF – supporting grass-roots charities who help homeless and at risk youth rebuild their lives! http://www.pif.com.au/index.html
