Gold Coast Principal awarded DIA Fellowship

GroupGSA is proud to announce that Melissa Reid, Principal of our Gold Coast Office, received the nomination of Fellowship to the DIA on Monday night 7th April at the DIA Queensland 2014 Vision event in Brisbane.

“Fellowship of the DIA is awarded by the Institute to distinguished persons worthy of recognition. It is given to individuals who have made a significant impact to design, and recognises their individual contribution to the DIA and the advancement of the professional design industry” said the DIA Queensland President.

Melissa was one of five recipients this year and the certificate and fellowship pin was presented by Cr Vicki Howard, Councillor for Central Ward and Deputy Chairman of Neighbourhood Planning and Development Assessment.

Melissa has a high profile and active role on the Design Institute of Australia Gold Coast Committee as the DIA Regional Chair, and coordinates the highly successful  7×7 DIAQ:GC Talk Series and the student event Creative Chatter, both promoting collaborative design practice and celebrates the local design community on the Gold Coast.
