Betashares is a leading Australian fund management firm that serves thousands of advisers and over one million investors. They engaged our Workplace and Commercial team to design their 6900m² headquarters in Sydney as a modern, forward-thinking workplace to enhance employee experience.

With Betashares’ rapid expansion in the local market, the brief called for a sophisticated, future-ready workspace—one that supports the company’s current needs while allowing for seamless growth, both physically and through enhanced business operations. The design fosters dynamic, team-oriented environments, enabling adaptability as the company evolves.

The design is characterised by a refined natural palette that blends warm, earthy tones with elegant finishes, fostering a sense of comfort and sophistication. Thoughtfully curated materials, textures, and colours soften the building’s industrial feel and creates an inviting environment to encourage focus, collaboration, networking, and team building.

Lead designer and Associate Director Jessica Margiotta says, ‘The interplay of natural light, biophilic elements, and contemporary design features creates a dynamic yet grounded space that promotes creativity without sacrificing practicality.’

A central aspect of the design is incorporating spacious, versatile, and relaxed professional entertainment areas. These spaces are functional, encouraging interaction and fostering connections among clients, staff, or guests. They are well suited for both casual gatherings and more formal events.

Another notable feature is the Content Creation Room, a dedicated space to support Betashares’ high-quality, in-house content production requirement. This room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and offers an adaptable environment where content can be easily created, edited, and finalised. The room’s design ensures that it is both functional and flexible, allowing it to be used for various purposes, from video production to creative brainstorming sessions.
