With a mandate for change in workplace flexibility to enable the fluid CUB Melbourne-based organisation, our team championed the idea of the agile workplace model. It was supplemented by observation studies which proved that CUB was highly collaborative, spent less time at their desk and more time in a meeting space.
This critical study formed the foundation of the design, which improved collaboration space, provided desk sharing throughout and removed any consideration for offices.
Celebration of the brand was essential in the design and this was reinforced by the fully functioning bar within the double-height meeting floor. A new stair connects the working floors all of which were designed based on movement and flow.
The flow culminates in collaborative areas which diversify work zones.
Patterns in the floor signify this organic method of design.
The overall result is a buzzing and energetic built environment inviting its user to be connected and active in the space they inhabit.
