Where contemporary work meets rural heritage

Where contemporary work meets rural heritage

Completed in partnership with Walker Corporation, Devondale Murray Goulburn’s workplace at Collins Square marked a significant shift in the organisation’s approach to work, supporting a transition from a traditional office environment to a more agile and collaborative workplace.

Occupying the top two levels of Tower 4 in Melbourne, the project was designed to encourage flexibility, connection and choice throughout the working day. Sit-to-stand workstations, shared desk arrangements and a variety of collaborative settings support evolving work styles while promoting greater mobility across the workplace.

Drawing inspiration from rural Australia, the design concept reflects the character of a humble homestead through a contemporary workplace lens. Influenced by the colours of morning light and the textures of regional landscapes, the interior creates a strong sense of place that resonates with the organisation’s heritage and identity.

A carefully curated palette of natural tones, tactile finishes and authentic materials establishes a warm and welcoming environment. The result is a workplace that balances functionality with familiarity, creating a direct connection to nature, space and scale while supporting a more agile way of working.
