GroupGSA partnered with the City of Canada Bay to revitalise Formosa Street and Church Street, transforming them into vibrant community hubs that support social connection, outdoor dining, and everyday public life. Identified in the Victoria Road Urban Design Review as priority locations for activation, both streets offered strong potential to strengthen the civic heart of surrounding neighbourhoods. The project balanced practical improvements with placemaking objectives, creating spaces that are functional, accessible, and engaging.

The design process began with multiple concept options, tested and refined through community consultation. This ensured proposals responded to local needs while supporting Council adoption and funding. Once a preferred direction was agreed, we progressed detailed tender and construction documentation, working closely with Council to maintain design integrity and minimise disruption to businesses and public use.
