Melia Serenity
Located along the coastline of Cam Ranh, Vietnam, Meliá Serenity is a hospitality development shaped by the relationship between contemporary architecture and the surrounding coastal landscape. The project presents an integrated design approach that seeks to create a cohesive resort experience while meeting the expectations of an international luxury hospitality brand.
Working with a partially completed development, GroupGSA undertook a comprehensive design transformation to address existing structural irregularities and architectural limitations. The scope extended beyond surface-level renovation, coordinating interior design and landscape architecture to establish a more unified design language across the resort.
The development features three accommodation towers, Mare, Vela, and Navi, complemented by pavilions and private pool villas. This combination of vertical and low-rise structures creates a diverse range of accommodation experiences, balancing spatial efficiency with privacy and a closer connection to the surrounding environment.
Landscape design plays a central role in connecting the built forms with the coastal setting. Tropical planting, swimming pools, outdoor terraces, and pedestrian pathways establish transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, encouraging movement, relaxation, and interaction throughout the resort.
Through the careful coordination of spatial planning, materials, lighting, and landscape elements, the project aims to deliver a consistent architectural identity while enhancing comfort and functionality. Meliá Serenity Cam Ranh demonstrates how integrated design can transform an existing development into a distinctive hospitality destination, where contemporary architecture and the natural environment contribute to a unified sense of place.
