Sydney Water HQ
Sydney Water, located at 1 Smith Street is part of the overall Parramatta Square precinct. Their new workplace hub seeks to provide a new home to all its field & office staff in a post-pandemic world.
Occupying 16 levels and approximately 18,000sqm, Sydney Water along with GroupGSA, undertook a workplace strategy to establish the direction for the reimagined workplace that looked to reposition the existing workplace to align to a high performing hybrid environment. This required creating a heart of dedicated destination floors that would cater to the different functions of the business both externally as well as internally. This new heart philosophy also included a floor dedicated solely to collaboration whilst the remaining floors cater for solo and team collaborative work.
Sydney Water pivoted with regards to the repurpose of the work space and the desk and agreed on an aggressive ratio of 60% collaboration to 40% work areas. As part of the design, GroupGSA and Sydney Water endeavoured on a construction programme that looked to undertake the works whilst in occupation to ensure little disruption to the business.
