This project will transform the heart of Watsonia in Melbourne’s north-east, enhancing community infrastructure and public safety within a green and vibrant town centre.

As part of the North East Link Project, $5.5 million in Victorian State Government funding has been allocated to design and construct a Town Square in the heart of the Watsonia Shopping Centre. GroupGSA is currently working collaboratively with the City of Banyule and the Watsonia community to deliver the project.

A preferred design was selected in June 2022 after a community consultation process. The preferred design includes a skate facility, amphitheatre, playground, biodiversity area, cultural story trail, climbing walls, planted pergola and new amenities block, also designed by GroupGSA.
