Our Sydney team got together last week to support Eat Up Australia – a not-for-profit that helps feed hungry kids at school lunch times.

Eat Up came to us, set up on-site and guided us to make 1,000+ sandwiches in just 60 minutes.

We hit our 1,000 sandwich target and had some fun together in the process.

“The Eat Up event was a great way for the team to engage in a fun, team building exercise while making a meaningful contribution to the community for an excellent cause,” said Nancy Piazzolla, Director – People, Culture & Practice.

About Eat Up Australia

Eat Up engages with thousands of volunteers to prepare 30,000+ cheese sandwiches each week. This provides a valuable opportunity for community organisations, regional groups, workplaces, school students and individuals to contribute in a direct and meaningful way to end hunger in schools.

This simple and powerful project helps to ensure some of the most vulnerable children in our community are having their basic nutritional needs met.

From grassroots beginnings, Eat Up is now Australia’s only organisation providing free lunches for students on a national scale thanks to it’s founder, Lyndon Galea . To date, they’ve provided over 4 million free lunches to students throughout Australia.
