Describe your career journey

I started at GroupGSA in 2021 during my Masters of Architecture, which I completed at the end of 2022. Prior to this I worked at various architecture practices while studying my Bachelor of Design (Architectural Studies) and for two years between my degree.

What do you enjoy most about working at GroupGSA?

The people in our Melbourne studio are inspiring, insightful, and truly joyful to work with, our studio space makes it a delight to come in to work in every day. I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with my team (within Melbourne and cross studio) to solve project design challenges.

Why are you passionate about Architecture

To me, the most important part of built environment design is its social impact. As architects, we can influence how people interact in the world and consequently, make positive changes towards this. Our skills with collaboration, strategy and understanding context are unique. These can be used to bring together considerate and insightful built outcomes that better our spatial and social experiences.’

Describe one project you are currently working on and what your responsibility is?

I enjoy juggling various projects at different stages. I’m currently working on the Weston sports amenity buildings alongside our lovely Sydney landscape architects. I’m also contributing towards the Build to Rent competition helping to create an impactful conceptual narrative through design and visualisation. For a few days, I’ve also assisted with a heritage refurbishment project where we helped the client make some final design changes.
