Two of our projects featured in the media highlight our extensive experience creating livable communities of various scales to bring lasting value to communities. The Urban Developer story highlights Billbergia Group’s affordable housing projects that incorporate the NSW Government’s reforms to take advantage of the 30 per cent uplift in floorspace ratios (FSR), where 15 per cent of the total floor area is affordable housing. We are proud to be working with Billbergia Group on:
1. Arncliffe Central
One of the state’s largest social and affordable housing developments, with 75 per cent of the 804 apartments across four buildings earmarked for social and affordable accommodation, Billbergia engaged us for the master plan and architectural concept design for a new development at 26-42 Eden Street and 161-179 Princes Highway, Arncliffe. This project is carried out under the NSW Land and Housing Corporation’s (LAHC) ‘Future Directions’ policy, along with Social Housing Provider (CHP), Evolve Housing.
2. Blaxland Road, Rhodes, known as Harmony – Rhodes Central East
Situated within the Station Gateway East precinct, a primarily high-rise residential area with a high level of amenity, our design features an activated ground plane providing a new green connection between Blaxland Road, Rhodes Station, Churchill Tucker Reserve, McIlwaine Park and Brays Bay. Vertical winter gardens are a key focal point and appear to creep up from the surrounding parkland to envelope the tower and culminate in an intimate rooftop garden. The affordable housing uplift takes the height to 152 metres.
