GroupGSA announces appointment of Kelly Doyle

GroupGSA has announced the appointment of Kelly Doyle as Senior Interior Designer, based in Sydney.

GroupGSA Principal Liam Higginbotham says Doyle’s appointment strengthens the firm’s rapidly growing Living & Lifestyle sector.

Doyle says she was drawn to GroupGSA’s people-focused culture, strong design reputation and collaborative approach.

“What stood out to me was the opportunity to collaborate closely with the architecture team, the genuine passion the team has for its people, but also the support for women in the industry and strong staff retention,” she says.

In 2025, GroupGSA was recognised by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) for achieving one of the lowest gender pay gaps among reporting Australian architecture firms for the second consecutive year. The firm reduced its gender pay gap from 5.6% in 2022–2023 to a median of -0.6% in 2023–2024, significantly outperforming the industry median of 15.4%.

Doyle says GroupGSA’s Living & Lifestyle focus closely aligned with her design philosophy.

“I’ve always been inspired by how people move through and experience spaces,” Doyle said.  “Human movement is a core guiding principle in my work, whether the project is large or small, a luxury development or affordable housing,” Doyle says.

Doyle will contribute to several major GroupGSA-led projects, including Concord Central, a $2.2 billion masterplanned community by Billbergia and Metrics Credit Partners set to deliver 1,336 new homes in Sydney’s Inner West. 

The project marks one of the largest State Significant Development Applications lodged since the formation of the NSW Housing Delivery Authority in 2025. She will also work on a new 12-storey luxury residential development in Wollstonecraft on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, delivering 78 premium, multi-generational apartments for client Traders In Purple.

Looking to the future, Doyle says evolving living patterns are reshaping residential design.

“The way people are using their homes is evolving. There’s increasing demand for adaptable, intuitive spaces and a greater focus on community and affordability,” she says.

“Luxury will always have its place, but I’m equally passionate about creating beautiful, functional and timeless homes that truly resonate with the people who live in them. Everyone deserves quality design.”
