Metaphors for these objectives have been realised in the design of Australian Broadcasting Agency’s new home i.e. in the physical realm. The design language is founded in the familiarity and reliability that the network has instilled in our identity as an Australian. It is the comforting voice from the back-shed radio on weekend mornings while pottering about the garden.

To represent this in physical form, GroupGSA constructed a series of built open and closed shelters to house collaboration zones, focused areas and meeting spaces responding to the unique architecture of the Ultimo Centre.

We looked to modest but durable materials, progressive zoning, working and meeting typologies as well as an indoor environment supported by a wellness attentive design.
