Our comprehensive approach tackled internal and external enhancements to elevate many of the centre’s aspects.
The key drivers of the redesign were the need for new entry statements and interior foyers as part of the total façade refresh. At the heart were the iconic Coles and Kmart entrances. Our innovative ‘heartbeat’ design concept infuses new life into the façade, featuring distinctive peaked entry portals which create a symbolic pulse to the Centre.
New branding signage was also incorporated within the heartbeat element between the entrances. This dynamic motif extends seamlessly throughout the centre, including external walls repainted to include the heartbeat graphic. At night, fine linear LED lighting traces the edge of the heartbeat, bringing a cohesive visual identity that draws visitors in.
New dynamic pylon signs were also designed to replace existing ones on the main thoroughfares. The car park layout was upgraded and reconfigured to improve pedestrian safety, movement and traffic flow along the main façade. Internally, new timber batten feature ceilings add warmth and texture, while upgraded amenities, including a new parent’s room and staff facilities, enhance the shopping experience. The contemporary facade redesign dramatically enhances the street presence of Cannon Hill and the overall standard of the shopping centre, creating a more attractive destination and expanding the centre’s demographic.
