GroupGSA were engaged to provide the Concept Design intent for the Macedon Ranges Regional Sports Precinct, Victoria.

The precinct is in the expanding township of New Gisborne in regional Victoria and is an attractive peri-urban centre that has exceeded anticipated population growth. Macedon Ranges Shire Council engaged the Cities and Places, Landscape Architecture team to provide the Concept Design intent for a state-of-the-art sports hub. Our master plan incorporated a comprehensive vision of transforming the existing Netball Pavilion site and the adjoining vacant land into a precinct incorporating sports hubs for basketball, cricket ovals, tennis courts, and recreation opportunities, including playgrounds, fitness loops, outdoor gyms, and picnic settings. It integrates four key site-wide urban design strategies, prioritising cultivating a quality experience to foster connections, activation, accessibility, inclusivity and safety.
