A contemporary, lively, open fit-out to support a collaborative, hybrid way of working

The Maitland Workplace Hub consolidates multiple government agencies into one workplace. Our interior design response draws on the rich history of the Maitland High Street with its well-preserved historic buildings.

The Group
Client: Property Development NSW
Studios: Sydney, Australia
The Team:

Property Development NSW workplace guidelines have been applied to the design of the new Hub and a local flavour has been woven throughout the details of the design. The project involves a two level workplace fit out, which consists of agile working environments, shared collaboration spaces and community areas.

We carefully considered each of the three occupying agencies – the Department of Regional NSW, Department of Customer Service and Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure – in the planning and design as they each have specialist functions pertinent to the preservation and restoration of the Hunter Region.  The design allows for a dynamic workspace accommodating built in flexibility for future ways of working as well as specialist spaces including a records library and artefact display space.

The project endeavours to uplift both the building and the workspace to position this asset as a destination for government employees within the region.
