Occupying a prominent ground floor position at the corner of Queen and Creek Street in the Brisbane CBD,  Bank of China's new Queensland headquarters.

As principal consultant, GroupGSA Brisbane followed Bank of China’s new international design guidelines, setting interior design benchmarks for the quality and style of cash business counter tellers, open counter tellers, VIP rooms and banking back office work points.

GroupGSA Interior Design team successfully delivered Bank of China’s Sydney head office refurbishment.

Situated above the ground floor retail is one level of commercial office and adjoining mezzanine. The space was designed as the primary Queensland head office, accommodating; boardrooms and function spaces, a quiet room, work points, offices, and staff facilities such as lockers and kitchen.

The design of the branch was centered around a two story void, amplify the grandeur of the international bank brand.

Bespoke lighting, joinery and gold-plated filigree screens facing street level have been used to break up the formality of the space. In the waiting area there is a rug showcasing land and water textures using indigenous dot painting to make a local reference to the river that flows through Brisbane and it’s importance in the making of the city.
